On Tuesday evening at 21:39 hrs Sta 26,Sta 6, Sta 100 were dispatched for a chicken house fire, reported fully involved. Captain 26-2 (N.Murphy) confirmed a large column of smoke and asked for a tanker task force. Chief 26 (B. Murphy) went responding and asked for a second alarm. Chief 26 arrived on location to find an old chicken house fully involved with roof collapse the entire length of the building. A draft site was established at the Cokesbury pond by Sta 100 to supply water for the operation. The second alarm brought in Sta 11, Sta 21, Sta 16, Sussex Sta 72, Sta 87, and Wicomico Sta 14. Units cleared around 23:48 hrs .
The scene was turned over the Maryland State Fire Marshall and currently being investigated.
