On Friday around 18:30 a tornado warning was put out from the 911 center for Northern Dorchester County. The tornado touched down near Rhodesdale-Vienna Rd in the area of Jones Thicket Rd. Also in the area of Lone Pine and Newhart Mill Rd with the Galestown area being hit the hardest. The National weather service Philadelphia/Mount Holly office came out and did a survey of the damage and confirmed that this was a tornado. Brush 26-1 and Brush 14 were dispatched to help with some tree clean up. Units opened what roads they could. A lot of trees were down with power lines involved so that work was left to the power company and tree service crews. No injuries were reported.
