On Sunday morning around 10:12 Station 26, Station 6 and Paramedic 200 were dispatched to Rhodesdale-Vienna Rd for a tractor trailer over turned in front of Black gold. Chief 26-1 (Justin Murphy) went on location soon after dispatch and confirmed one tractor trailer with the trailer detached and over turned in the ditch. Chief 26-1 established command. The trailer was loaded with approximately 8500 gallons of gasoline. Command requested Hazmat 1 out of Rescue Fire Co and MDE was notified . Once Hazmat 1 arrived a plan was made and additional units from Sharptown Fire Dept, East New Market were brought into the scene to assist .State Highway was also used for traffic control and also brought 2 loads of dirts to block the ditch off in case of a leak. Do the extended scene time Station 400 Ridgely Fire Dept was dispatched for their canteen unit. Once everything was in place pump off procedures began which took approximately 1.5 hours. Units cleared around 15:24 and scene was turned over to msp.
