| On Monday evening, members of Station 26 were holding their monthly meeting when they were dispatched to a garage fire at 7:11 p.m. Responding units were informed that the garage had been struck by lightning. Captain 26-2, N. Murphy, arrived at the scene, reported smoke coming from the structure, and established command.
Units from Stations 14, 6, and 100 were also dispatched to assist. Engine Tanker 26 arrived and quickly brought the fire under control. Crews from Station 14 assisted with overhaul operations. Units from Stations 6 and 100 were placed back in service. All units cleared the scene at 7:45 p.m. |
